Internship Manager
Date Posted: 10/13/2023
Job #: 2727989
Location: BOULDER
Summary/Objective
Environment for the Americas (EFTA) is a non-profit organization located
in Boulder, Colorado. EFTA works to connect diverse people to conservation
through education, outreach, and research. Our internship programs are an
important example of how we accomplish this goal. We work with
underrepresented youth across the country and federal and non-governmental
agencies to provide internship opportunities. These intensive experiences
introduce participants to important job skills and provide opportunities to
work side-by-side with biologists, educators, researchers, historians,
and other professionals at national parks, wildlife refuges, and other
natural areas across the country.
We currently have a position available that will focus attention on habitats
for the Monarch butterfly on military installations in California, Texas,
Oklahoma, Kansas, and other states along the I35 corridor. We especially
seek an individual with experience living and/or working on military
installations and with military personnel. Experience or ability to work with
underrepresented communities near installations is a bonus. This position may
be in our Boulder, Colorado office or remote, especially if the successful
candidate is located on a military base. Hours are flexible during the year,
with part-time and full-time activities, depending on the season.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities
to perform the essential functions.
