Summary:
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.
The base compensation range for this role is $77,000 - $104,000 (The actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%) This position is eligible for a potential annual bonus.]
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
Locations Include: MN, AZ, TX, CA, CO
Responsibilities:
Provide technical lead and support for electrical portions of work project
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
Conceptual knowledge of key construction documents and their relationship to construction Project Management and Field Executions
Knowledge of how design, construction, start-up and turnover align within the project delivery process.
Conceptual knowledge of key construction documents and their relationship to Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC)
Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and commissioning process delivery.
Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
Familiarity with data-based commissioning tools such as BIM360
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

Qualifications:

Possess basic understanding of construction law, generally accepted business practices, construction techniques, and project management practices
Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level

Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels

Working knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code a plus
Current driver's license
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
Minimum two years construction management or commissioning experience, preferably with a MEP Contractor, Commissioning firm.
Ability to Travel 5 %
