Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support configuration management needs of our team.

You will be involved in development, maintenance, and use of the customers "home grown" configuration management tool.

 

This position is located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs.

 

Must have an active and transferrable DoD secret security clearance with the ability to get a Top Secret/SCI. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

What you will do...

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Use the configuration management tool to support integration efforts at customer sites and help guide development and maintenance of the application.

  • Visit sites on a quarterly basis to track changes to the mission equipment and support integration and upgrade projects.

  • Capturing configuration changes and updating the information within the management software.

  • Continued development of the software using Visual Basic programming language.

  • Establish/create a facility baseline, identify and update facility drawings within the facility management program to reflect new or upgraded hardware installations.

  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to monitor power needs and physical requirements of new hardware installations within the facilities.

  • Work with the Configuration Management/Quality Assurance (CM/QA) engineer to assist in the monitoring and auditing of all ongoing projects and installs to ensure CM and QA measures are met.

  • Use Solid Edge 3-D modeling software to create and update models of facilities and equipment.

Skills you will need...

  • Qualifications

    • The candidate must be knowledgeable with application development in Visual Basic
    • Knowledgeable with the .NET framework and Visual Studio

    • 3+ years of experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

    • Experience with DoD technical orders, technical drawings and configuration management is a plus.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience with 3D modelling.
    • Experience with Microsoft Access databases.
