Position: Training Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies
- Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of 24 Hr Safety and customers
- Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
- Tests trainees both internal and external to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- Reports and/or documents on progress of employees/customers under guidance during training periods
- Assists employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions
- Makes suggestions for improving work procedures and Maintains trainee personnel records
- Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee must be able to distinguish between colors.

Key Requirements:
- High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer skills
- Two plus years medical surveillance training experience preferred
- Willingness to train CPR/respiratory protection, Fit-Testing, PFT and/or MEQ preferred.
- Must have a familiarity with OSHA regulations for industrial training.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Current TWIC card holder a plus
- Clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicle
- Travel a must
