$25.33 + (0.45 cent shift differential) /hourly pay, bi-weekly

Position is considered " safety sensitive" which requires the passing of an independently administered drug screen.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

* Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and ensuring daily schedule is maintained.

* Assign production leads and floor personnel appropriate schedules to ensure a smooth and effective operation.

* Set priorities as required and follow up to ensure personnel are performing to target KPIs.

* Assists supervisors in providing training to all new employees as required. This includes all SOPs, SQF, and company policies.

* Able to conduct meetings concerning safety and warehouse functions.

* Be willing to work as scheduled and be flexible to shift working hours when needed.

* Conduct daily required inspections to ensure equipment and environment is in safe operating condition

* Oversee and monitor checks of yard trailers, loading/storage temperatures

* Conduct inventory investigations with production and warehouse personnel to resolve discrepancies

* Inventory of finished goods

* Coordinate current or potential problems, with the Receiving Supervisor and Manager

* Communicate with proper departments regarding customer order issues

* Obtain and track updates from carriers

* Monitor warehouse staff breaks and lunches

* Conduct tailgates

* Assume responsibilities at dispatch window and shipping office administrative functions as needed

* Drive and operate forklift performing unloading and loading of trucks, transporting product throughout the Warehouse, stacking or storing product in racking

* Coordinate the activities of subordinates in order to meet Warehouse needs.

* Split merge all pallets into system/loading

* Remove finished product from production area and stage in proper area of warehouse

* Scan barcode from pallet to proper location in warehouse

* Run Pick Tickets (pick, consolidate, clean, etc.)

* Lead workforce and make decisions pertaining to all functional areas of the warehouse

* Must maintain excellent attendance throughout year

* Assist supervisors with sending warehouse updates to management team

* Assist supervisors with incident reports

* Send end of shift summary report to management team

* Oversee 30-40 hourly warehouse employees on daily basis

* Any other duties as assigned

* Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP's related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)

* Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities

* Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Job Specifics:


Applicant should be able to work in a fast-paced Production environment.
Forklift License required.
Knowledge of Warehouse actives and proficient in all IT system usage, including but not limited to Mainframe, Google Docs, and excel spreadsheet.
Problem Solving Skills

Interpersonal Skills/ Influential
Flexible Schedule/ ability to work weekends.
Inventory control experience.

Required Experience

Employment and Certification:


High School Diploma or GED Required
2-5 years of previous experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish/ English/ Creole preferred but no required.
Experience maintaining shipping/ receiving functions efficiently.
Knowledge of Warehouse safety and equipment safety

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the ability to maneuver around an array of equipment and moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area. Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up 40 pounds. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Ability to work in a cold environment (34-35 degrees on Plant floor).
