The Paccar Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the development and validation of emerging technologies such as vehicle electrification and autonomous driving systems. The Paccar Technical Center is located in scenic Mt. Vernon, Washington north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
PACCAR Technical Center is seeking an engine test lab intern to conduct performance, durability, and emissions testing of heavy-duty on highway powertrain systems. Internships includes unique learning opportunities to:
Support PACCAR's Global Engine organization by testing, evaluating, and validating new engine and aftertreatment hardware and software
Engineer and build tools to improve the quality and efficiency of powertrain testing, emissions measurement, and data processing in the ETL
Identify and troubleshoot issues with test cell instrumentation
Analyzing instrumentation and sensor testing results with AVL Concerto
Assist with testing report generation
Assist with updating data acquisition and instrumentation documentation
Qualifications
Proficient in MS Office Applications
Strong computer skills
Ability to work with ETL technician staff, fostering teamwork and employee development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Education
Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree
PACCAR Benefits
