Location: Roanoke, VA (Relocation Assistance Available)
Salary: $115,000 – 130,000 plus DOE 

Kelly is looking for an Electrical Professional Engineer for a position located in Roanoke, VA. Our client provides quality-engineered building solutions designed to protect critical equipment. Responsibilities: Responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and using judgement in a professional capacity to make recommendations and determinations based on codes, specifications, and designs. Support the various engineering and engineering related services such as, but not limited to electrical design. Work with the design team to ensure all requirements and codes are met to ensure approval by state agencies. 
• Oversee designs of a team of 15+ designers. 
• Review and assist in creating electrical plan designs for low to medium voltage shelters. 
• Serve as technical expert in functional area to troubleshoot and resolve any design related issues. 
• Check, markup, and stamp/seal electrical designs daily. 
• Proven track record of a problem-solving mindset. 
• Ability to work and function with a broad range of personalities and skill sets both internally and externally. 
• Strong leadership skills. 
• Hands-on attitude/approach. 
• Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, customer supplied drawings and electrical designer drawings to ensure designs meet requirements from all aspects.
• Perform a variety of calculations as required. 
• Possible travel for site visits as needed. 

Requirements: 
• Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. 
• 6-10 years on the job experience as an Electrical PE. 
• PE Licenses in multiple states – TX, TN, OH, MI, SC, VA, FL, CA, MO preferred. 
• Expert knowledge of the National Electric Code. 
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Computer Programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit. 
• Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas. 
• Technical ability in the Electrical, Architectural, and Mechanical fields.
