ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.


Prepares Payment Documents and Agency-Specific Processing
  • Prepare necessary payment documents following appropriate accounting policies.
  • Handle a variety of agency-specific processing in WOLFS (Wyoming Online Financials System), including accounts payable documents, receipts, replacement warrants, ACH and NSF documents, and P-card payments while ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Vendor Management
  • Maintain and enter Vendor Management Forms into WOLFS.
  • Update and maintain the Vendor Management tracking sheet, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Notify staff when vendors become active with the State of Wyoming.
Other Duties
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, procurement, agency, and accounting policies for all program purchases.
  • Resolve issues and answer questions from coworkers regarding policies and processes with professionalism and good judgment.
  • Ensure proper internal control of units by researching, analyzing data, and identifying when corrective actions are needed in WOLFS.
  • Assist the Fiscal Manager with various special projects, including research, data compilation, and analysis as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)
 
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
 
OR
 
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
