The HR Infrastructure Specialist will support the operations and maintenance of a human capital technology stack for Federal agencies. This stack runs primarily on AWS and includes technologies including ServiceNow, multiple databases, AWS services, Drupal, and containerization. Responsibilities may include system administration, platform administration, network engineering, and database administration.
Tasks include:
• Set up and maintain application environments and databases in accordance with industry best practices and TSA security guidance
• Monitor, analyze, and tune system and application performance
• Plan and support patch management for all applications, and apply patches to all system components
• Plan and support application and platform upgrades
• Work closely with security engineers to handle non-compliance and vulnerability issues
• Assist other team members with research and troubleshooting of system errors and performance problem
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience with AWS administration, including architecting and maintaining AWS solutions
• AWS certification at the Associate level
• Experience with database administration, modeling, tuning, backup and recovery
• Experience with implementing and maintaining network configuration in cloud environments
• Experience with supporting containerized solutions
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• AWS certification at the Professional level
• Understanding of SaaS platforms, such as ServiceNow and Salesforce
• Experience with human capital systems, especially in support of Federal customers and working in agile environment, preferably using SAFe
