SUMMARY
Employee will be responsible for monitoring the production process and identifying non-conformances to Ashton Potter and customers quality specifications. Must be able to communicate with production operators and management on all quality issues, including documentation, product disposition, process improvement and applicable procedures. Also responsible for ensuring that all customer products are secure and fully accountable at all times. Use various methods to track exact quantities and location, including work in process, of all product and goods of value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand customer specifications and requirements to develop effective quality control plans, processes and procedures.
- Review and devise (as needed) specifications for products or processes.
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance through internal testing, sampling, COCs and COAs.
- Oversee the inspection of all products to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements .
- Ensure non-conforming products are quarantined, and provide disposition as to handling.
- Schedule and ensure QA coverage at subcontractors.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide corrective actions.
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
- A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
- To ensure that employees working in production are aware of quality requirements and are properly trained.
- Supply Chain oversight and claim resolution.
- Develop SOP/WI as needed and keep updated.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
Communicate with independent laboratories.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision (must be able to pass color differentiation test), and ability to adjust focus.
