Job Description
Develop and implement supplier & (sub)category strategies.
Lead and coordinate supplier & (sub)category strategy activities in the category team and across various BUs & Divisions in a Segment/Function.
Active research trends within (sub)category and technology incl. how other industries impact the (sub)category e.g. supply, pricing, investments etc.
Understand the commodity market and how this impacts the (sub)category.
Proactively understand key stakeholder business trends and requirements and inform proactively about relevant trends.
Job Responsibilities
Building a negotiation pipeline (target, concept & execution using negotiation toolbox)
Manage quota allocation in case of dual sourcing
Initiating resourcing projects and monitor their execution as part of strategy implementation
Initiate & negotiate Surcharge Agreements (including tier-2 pricing / LOA management) and ensure organizational roll out
Forecast negotiation and surcharge impact based on volume input from the business and market development
Develop, align and implement supplier strategies and compile those into (sub) category strategies (typically covering spend < 70 M€). Considerations include supplier performance, contracting & risk as well as business needs (capacity, footprint & portfolio)
Negotiate FWA, pricing and surcharge agreements
Monitor financial risk & risk event tracker based on external market intelligence and compile to holistic risk assessment matrix (strategic, operational, financial and contractual risk)
Monitor & improve supplier compliance (FWA, CoC, ISO/IATF)
New supplier identification and technology trend monitoring
Background & Skills
Bachelor degree or above, with at least 3-5 years category management working experience
Procurement Process knowledge
ISO/IATF requirements for Category Mgt. listed QEHS Management System
Strategic Thinking and negotiation Skills
Stakeholder Management (influencing others)
Communication and Presentation skills
Idea Generation & Problem Solving
