JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Join our Oak Creek, WI team as an
Electronics Technician Intern! Our internships are hands-on, highly
technical, and designed to let you see what working at Astronautics is
like. This is a paid undergraduate intern opportunity. As an engineering
intern, you will work closely with our engineering staff on actual
customer projects. Our summer intern program consists of at least 10
weeks of real-world experience in an engineering development
environment. In addition to our electronics technician intern, we have
open engineering lab intern opportunities this summer. Mentors are
assigned to assist interns in achieving related career development that
is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics. Our internship program
includes events and opportunities to meet other interns and employees
across the organization. Our electronics technicians evaluate and
diagnose our products, which may require service or repair, and then
perform the work to return these products to flight-worthy status. Our
Interns, working under the guidance of our experienced technicians, will
gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing these electronic
systems using drawings, schematics, and test equipment. These year-round
internship opportunities are for anyone enrolled in a technical college
who is pursuing an associate degree in Electronics Engineering
Technology (EET) or related field of study and is interested in starting
a career as an electronics technician. This is a first shift, part-time
position (minimum 24 hours, Mon-Fri). Work hours are generally 7:00
a.m. - 3:30 p.m. How You Will Do It: Troubleshoot analog and digital
circuits to the component level. Conduct various testing of boards at
Flying Probe and Functional Test. Disassemble and reassemble aircraft
avionics equipment. Generate summary reports using software programs
such as MS Office. Maintain organized work area and self-manage workload
to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. What We Look For Required
Current accredited technical college or university enrollment working
towards an associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET)
or related field of study from an accredited institution. Minimum
cumulative grade point average of 2.75 Available to work 24 or more
hours per week (weekdays during the day). Must be able to understand
written work instructions, drawings and schematics. Proficient in
Microsoft Office tools Must pass a required electronics assessment after
1st year of school. Must be able to pass the Astronautics solder
training program successfully. Eligible to work in the US without
