We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Pasadena, California. In this contract role, you will collaborate closely with Senior HR Generalists to provide operational and administrative support for critical employee relations processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring compliance and efficiency in HR functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee organizational processes, excluding termination approvals, ensuring smooth operations.
• Will provide support across all areas of HR—from Employee Relations and Core HR to Shared Services
• Someone who is formidable with technology, experienced in handling ADA accommodations and processing leaves of absence, and well-versed in sending pre-adverse action letters related to background checks.
• Individual will also assist with Tier 1 HR inquiries, document uploads, job abandonment letters, and other administrative functions.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding CCAs related to open cases, maintaining timely resolutions.
• Draft and issue adverse action letters, including pre- and post-background checks and organization-specific communications.
• Initiate administrative leave tickets and coordinate payroll-related communications.
• Manage inquiries related to rehire eligibility and provide accurate responses.
• Address and resolve Tier 1 policy questions, ensuring compliance and clarity.
• Organize and maintain documentation for employee relations case files.
• Assist with the termination process for new hires, including preparation of necessary documentation.
• Handle claims related to employee property damage, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Redirect non-employee relations inquiries to appropriate channels for efficient handling.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations policies and processes.
• Proficiency in benefits administration and compliance within HR functions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage hiring processes, terminations, and HR documentation effectively.
• Familiarity with HR strategy, policy development, and organizational compliance.
• Experience in handling compensation and benefits inquiries.
• Adept at prioritizing tasks and maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment.
