Maintenance Technician Multi Family (3 positions)
 
There are three (3) open positions for this role at CHN Housing Partners: one is at Pinzone Towers (100 units total), one is at our Union Court location (48 units total) and the other is at our Scholar House (40) & Hough Heritage (60) locations (100 units total).

Position: We’re looking for a Maintenance Tech to respond quickly and courteously to maintenance requests, troubleshooting the source and taking appropriate action to repair and restore service by providing quality workmanship within a timely manner and with an outstanding attention to detail. 
 
The hourly rate pay is between $20-22 per hour commensurate with experience and depending on the building location.

Requirements:
The right candidate will be able to complete general maintenance repairs such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors as well as possess a working knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing Systems. Additionally, making vacant units ready for new tenants to occupy within five (5) days.
 
You will also be responsible for maintaining general maintenance inventory and report outstanding issue to manager to ensure timely repair as well as following proper safety procedures when cleaning up after injuries involving chemicals, solvents, blood, and bodily fluids.
 
To be successful, you’ll need to schedule and complete preventative maintenance program, and be able to maintain, repair or the ability to communicate to contract outside source when needed.
 
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 
 
Required Education: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:          
  • A minimum of five (5) years of combined maintenance and custodial experience.
  • Experience in general home remodeling to include roofing, siding, carpentry, light plumbing and electrical a plus.
Skills: 
  • Embodies staff enthusiasm, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Good working knowledge of types of tools and equipment for job.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to give a high level of Customer Service.
  • Ability to work independently; and possesses a strong work ethic.
  • Organizes tasks and manages time effectively.  Works to meet deadlines.
Other:
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation and an acceptable attendance record.

  • Ability to safely, and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
