Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Automation Lead to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of automation engineers, designing and implementing robust and scalable test automation frameworks, and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated software solutions using programming languages such as Python with Selenium/Squish/Appium frameworks and work on IDE like PyCharm, PyTest.
- Ability to design automation test strategy from scratch, tool/framework selections and formulate/implement test strategy to replace manual testing
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews, and continuously improve software quality by implementing automated tests.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, as well as implement fixes promptly.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to incorporate them into company software development process.
- Run nightly automation runs, fix and modify test cases to suit new changes implemented
- Provide technical leadership to a team of 5-8 automation engineers, guide, solve their technical doubts on automation and mentor them. Be responsible for their automation goals fulfilment.
- Provide timely updates to management, coordinate with US automation counterparts and be able to achieve monthly/quarterly automation targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in automation software testing.
- Strong experience in Python programming and hands on development in test automation frameworks like Selenium and some Appium for medium-high complexity automation tasks.
- Well-versed with standard Linux platform/commands.
- Experienced in Agile/ DevOps methodology & tools like Jenkins, Gitlab/CICD is a must.
- Experience with Atlassian suite tools like Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US.
- There will be mandatorily working from the office and WFH will be on the exceptional genuine cases on required day-to-day basis.
