Under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Services, The Float Manager will provide oversight and support to various Ambulatory Sites. The Float Manager will provide supervision to clinical FTE’s within various Departments and Specialties. Oversee Projects as needed, provide bridge support during clinical redesigns, and provide Managerial support for newly established Ambulatory Sites. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and the public in a variety of complex, sometimes sensitive issues. Supervise the medical front and back office staff and coordinate clinical services. Provide daily administrative and operational oversight and physical space management. The Manager oversees the business and patient care support functions for the assigned Primary Care and Specialty practice in the absence of the practice manager. These practices are located in various offices. Therefore, the float manager needs to travel to required locations.
Salary Range: $64,800.00-$137,600.00
Required:
- Ability to write analytical and administrative reports and correspondence, which are clear, concise, logical and appropriate for a variety of audiences
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems
- Working knowledge of University policies and procedures to appropriately manage risk management and personnel
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work product
- Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
- Minimum 1 year experience working in the capacity of a Clinic
- Work with Ambulatory Nursing, Safety, Security, Skills Management Team, HR, and others on training all employees on necessary skills for role
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, adaptable, accessible, and team-oriented.
- Systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication effort
- Writing skills to prepare accurate and concise reports and memorandums that clearly convey information utilizing appropriate vocabulary and grammar
