Job Description | Overview: We are hiring a network administrator to support our multi-campus wired and wireless networks. You will be supporting a wide variety of network technologies, from layer-2 switches to virtualized MPLS routed network environments. About Us: We are a small team that is responsible for operating all aspects of the Texas State University campus network. We operate a heterogenous network with equipment from multiple manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, HP, and Ruckus Wireless and focus on open networking standards and solutions. We strive to maintain a highly reliable and available network infrastructure for the university community. About You: We are looking for someone with a solid foundation of networking skills, who enjoys learning new things and solving problems. You should have strong interpersonal skills and must be able to work collaboratively with a team and interface with end-users and management. You must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve specific goals and complete assigned tasks and projects. |
