Staff Management is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our client's team as a Welder - Brazing Technician. This is an excellent opportunity with advancement opportunities with a growing and expanding company. 

Shift Details: Monday - Thursday, 7:00am-4:30pm OT required as needed

Job Responsibilities

Duties included but are not limited to -

  • Cutting all required piping and pipe preparation.
  • Collecting the required parts based on pick lists.
  • Brazing sub-assemblies.
  • Assembling components and sub-assemblies and installing same into units.
  • Laying out piping routes in the unit including structural security.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools such as tube cutters/benders, files, tube reamers, pressure regulators, brazing techniques, vacuum pumps, and refrigerant charging
  • Reading and interpreting schematics (drawings or diagrams)
  • Safety management

Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Must be able to work in a heated or cooled confined spaces. Must be able to work in a loud production setting. Extensive standing and/or sitting possible. Applicant but be able to push/pull/lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. Applicant must possesses the manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.

  • Follow departmental procedures, company policies and instructions made by the Production Manager
  • Understand, interpret, and perform duties according to piping diagrams, prints, direction of flow, pipe sizing, location of components, etc.
  • Install refrigeration components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, motors, blowers, and pumps
  • Install and connect piping and tubing for refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Perform pressure test, evacuate, and charge refrigeration system
  • Attend, understand, and observe trainings provided
  • Contributes, supports, and be a team player by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Perform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment according to OSHA and as instructed by the manager to comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Observe all company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism and good performance
  • HS Diploma required
  • 2+ years mechanical assembly experience, or related experience or degree preferred
  • Certification to AWS B2.2/2.2M is a plus
  • Refrigeration experience preferred
  • 3+ years brazing assembly experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced, minimum supervision environment
  • Recent graduates okay, but must be trainable and willing to learn
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and installation of refrigeration and heating systems
  • Must be able to read basic and complexed diagrams, schematics, and/or diagrams
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Flexible for possible transfers due to demand of work

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $18.00 - $24.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
