JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the Engineering and Maintenance departments with department-level accounting functions and day-to-day support.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Generating and reviewing weekly expense reports with maintenance and engineering supervisors
Tracking work orders costs over $2,500 to be reviewed by managers

Putting together and analyzing trial balance documents to review with maintenance and engineering
Updating and maintaining the capital asset management A3 per direction from engineering and maintenance managers.
Reviewing fleet vehicle costs and making recommendations for daily/mileage rates
Analyzing all maintenance and engineering costs to create a budget for each trial balance account
Reviewing yearly maintenance and engineering costs and making recommendations for charge-out rate changes
Working with all internal support departments and outside resources to follow up on parts and equipment quotes, purchases, shipments, deliveries, material estimates, drawings, drawing take-offs, and timeline/s
Processing Authorization for Expenditures (AFE's)
Verifying department staff training is up to date
Updating and maintaining timelines for engineering and maintenance projects
Making small additions and/or corrections using Autocad Mechanical and Inventor
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: 2-year degree in Accounting; A 4-year degree is preferred
EXPERIENCE: 3 years of industry-related experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office programs and JD Edwards software
Basic knowledge of manufacturing and assembly operations
Basic knowledge of engineering and maintenance functions and capabilities
Know and understand 5S principles
Must have the ability to locate, view, review, and plot out paper templates for welders using (CAD and Inventor) per departmental and customer requests.
Understand the principles of the total productive maintenance process (TPM)
