SUMMARY
Licensed Clinician reports to the Program Director, provides clinical supervision to Counselors and other staff, and provides direct clinical services (i.e., crisis intervention/de-escalation, assessment, counseling, family therapy, referrals and discharge planning) to patients as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Assists clinical staff in the development of treatment plans, ensuring that such plans address all facets of a patient's treatment -- mental health, substance abuse, education and vocational rehabilitation.
- Conducts regular interdisciplinary case conferences.
- Conducts workshops and individual or group therapy sessions, as needed, in conjunction with other clinical staff.
- Works with counselors in all areas of their job functions and facilitates open, consistent, skill-focused clinical supervision and staff development, documenting as needed.
- Responsible for overseeing and coordinating overall patient case management with applicable state and local social services agencies, legal referral sources and resources, school-based stakeholders, and community-based providers of services, as needed.
- Reviews clinical documentation of staff; participates in or leads the clinical case review process; supports, monitors, and implements clinical and recovery support programming for all phases of treatment
- Works with staff and patients to facilitate effective progression of patients through the treatment process.
- Works with counselors to ensure that patients receive appropriate information/referrals throughout the re-entry phase of the program and in preparation for discharge.
