About the Role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and designers to iterate on the design and implementation of our systems.
- Identify product architecture overlaps across multiple Areas and navigate dependencies
- Deliver on complex, ambiguous problems independently & gain cross-functional alignment across areas.
- Provide technical leadership within their area
- Mentor Senior engineers and technical leaders at Splunk.
- Understand the business direction and is able to evangelize innovative ideas and obtain alignment with cross functional teams.
Requirements
- Several years of experience building large-scale backend systems.
- Experience driving and collaborating on technical designs for backend systems with architects and peer engineers.
- Proficiency in Java 8+ and/or Go, familiar with the development environments.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, RPC frameworks such as thrift, gRPC, cloud native development on AWS/GCP
- Leadership and mentoring skills and the ability to work with engineers and non-engineers of various skill levels.
- Experience with DevOps practices and comfortability operating your own systems.
- The ability to adapt quickly and to solve problems through uncertainty.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- BS EE or CS degree, or equivalent training or work experience
- 12+ years related experience (or Masters and 8+ years related experience or PhD and 5+ years experience)

Base Pay Range
India
Base Pay: INR 4,800,000.00 - 6,600,000.00 per year

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
