Position Summary
Provide leadership, support and expertise in safety and health matters
companywide, while developing and managing strategy and relevant programs to
ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
Work closely with senior management, divisional safety and operations
personnel to ensure strategic initiatives are properly aligned and executed
throughout the business units in order to meet or exceed safety performance
goals
Ensure processes, programs, and procedures provide all employees with the
tools and skills necessary to perform jobs in a safe work environment
Develop/update health and safety policies, programs and systems
Manage corporate vendors that provide health and safety services to Martin
Marietta
Develop and present safety performance metrics to executives and the
Environmental, Health, Safety and Ethics Committee of the Board of Directors
Provide guidance on matters related to compliance with OSHA as well as MSHA
inspection, citation and assessment activity
Develop, implement, and maintain safety compliance programs that ensure
100% compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Inform operations personnel of existing and pending health and safety
regulations/requirements, including reporting or action deadlines
