Description: We are seeking an experienced Grind Hand and Gage Builder
Responsibilities include:
- Setup and run various parts on Surface Grinders.
- Inspect and verify dimensions of pieces to drawing specifications using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
- Daily cleaning and routine equipment maintenance.
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay: Based on previous experience; opportunity for overtime
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years setting up and running various parts on surface grinders
- Ability to build gages and gage fixtures
- High school diploma or GED, Trade school/Vocational school
- Must have experience holding extremely tight tolerances
- Proficient with best machining practices and machine feeds/speed rates
- Ability to interpret drawing specifications
- Ability to interpret GD&T tolerances
- Self-starter- highly motivated
