Technical Solutions Consultant III, Extended Workforce Solutions, gTech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in system design.
  • 3 years of experience managing internal/external partners or customers.
  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience coding in one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 5 years of experience with data analysis, customer-side web technologies, and project management.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 5 years of experience in operations management (i.e., process improvement, operational reviews, optimizing workflows, etc.).
  • Experience implementing strategic and large-scale initiatives/projects in a change-oriented, fast-paced environment.

gTech’s Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team enables Product Areas to effectively and efficiently scale their outsourced operations while managing risk. Our goal is to enable our businesses to make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations. Our partnership with teams across Google aims to provide an excellent user experience and minimizes administrative burden throughout the Extended Workforce process. We assist with Extended Workforce planning and strategy, and provide tools to support Product Areas in managing their Extended Workforce infrastructure. We strike a balance between optimizing extended workforce engagements and making sure Extended Workforce policies and guidelines are followed.

The Solutions Delivery Technology team's mission is to deliver technology strategy and direction that drives efficiency through automation, improved user experiences and compliance through technical controls. We gather and understand the business needs and map them to technology and systems that can help deliver those needs both efficiently and cost effectively. We then drive implementation of these strategies in partnership with CorpEng and other partner teams.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of an integrated roadmap, translating the business strategy into a technical delivery plan by understanding the strategic business needs and defining solutions for those needs. Determine gaps in existing systems, architecture, and solutions, and build plans to solve them.
  • Work with technical development teams to launch tools across various organizations.
  • Participate in regular business and technology reviews between Extended Workforce Solutions and technology teams to ensure alignment on strategy, plans and execution of key milestones.
  • Contribute to testing of products/solutions for customers/partners before release through different phases (e.g., internal testing, user acceptance testing).
  • Contribute to efforts to transform infrastructure including surfacing requirements, setting timelines, leading sprints and pilots, and managing change with local partners.
