JOB REQUIREMENTS: This professional nursing position is responsible for
providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or
disabled population. The incumbent provides direction to other staff in
the provision and coordination of member care, and monitors care given
by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All
activities are performed in accordance with applicable industry
standards of practice, facility policies/procedures, and state and
federal rules and regulations. Core Shifts Available AM 1st Shift - 6:30
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PM 2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. NOC 3rd Shift -
10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. \*\*LTEs may work partial shifts on request.\*\*
Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts,
stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments,
kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach,
maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective
clothing. See the job description of more information. Due to the nature
of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to
an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon
passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this
healthcare facility are required to provide their COVID-19 vaccination
status, whether vaccinated or not, by date of hire, and provide
supporting documentation if vaccinated. The Wisconsin Veterans Homes
continue to follow necessary health and safety protocols for COVID-19,
which are subject to change, depending on public health considerations.
LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimally qualified applicants will be licensed or
eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
or a Nurse Licensure Compact state and will have experience: Providing
basic nursing care; and Working collaboratively; and Using computer
systems and applications Well-qualified applicants will also have
experience: Providing advanced nursing care; and/or Leading and/or
training others; and/or Providing nursing care in a long-term care,
geriatric, or skilled nursing setting Per Wisconsin Statute 230.26,
Wisconsin residency is required for LTE appointments. \*\*\*\*\*
