Laboratory Manager-换热器

Job Description

The heat exchanger division is looking for a Laboratory Manager to take the lead of all activities relative to the test of heat exchangers, measure of performances, evaluation of the reliability, managing the calibration, defining all processes relative, being the main interlocutor for key audits of normative companies, being the main interlocutor of customers requesting tests. You will be responsible for overseeing the lab's day-to-day activities and tasks, ensuring all necessary safety protocols and procedures are in place and being followed, and conducting various administrative duties such as budget management, employee recruiting and training, and laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. As a Lab Manager, you will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and provide frequent reports on the laboratory's progress, accomplishments, successes, and challenges. The laboratory is located in Danfoss Haiyan factory.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
• Manage a team of laboratory technicians and researchers, providing guidance and support as needed
• Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and documentation
• Coordinate research activities and projects, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, arranging for repairs and replacements when necessary
• Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate laboratory activities with organizational objectives
• Manage laboratory budgets, including procurement of materials and allocation of resources
• Prepare and deliver reports on laboratory performance to senior management
• Train and mentor new laboratory staff to ensure competence and understanding of protocols
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in laboratory processes and procedures
• propose, future test rig design,
• manage a team of 10 people, recruit future competences needed

Background & Skills

• Master's degree or higher in a scientific discipline
• Knowledge in physical measurement, pressure, temperature, mass flow, electrical power, current, velocity, vibration, acoustic, stress & strain / displacement, data acquisition, data processing, signal treatment
• Knowledge in test rig and compressor control & and usage of power electronics (frequency controller, electrical motor)
• Knowledge in refrigeration
• Prior experience in a laboratory management role
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
• Experience in budgeting and financial management
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• English language required (speaking, reading, writing)
