Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the Maintenance team to perform to a level that meets and/or exceeds their internal and external customer expectations; maintain equipment and facilities in a production ready state; and, identify continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Coordinates the overall maintenance activities through planning and communication with peers, team members, customers (internal and external), suppliers and technical staff.
Develops and controls plans and budgets for the maintenance area. Responsible for implementing a cost-effective preventative maintenance program to maintain production equipment in an efficient, safe operating, manner. Follows through with daily checks for accuracy and progress.
Monitors and manages completion of facility work orders.
Coordinates with outside vendors on projects, repairs & maintenance.
Develop Preventative maintenance program
Define critical spare parts list and maintain inventory (Min/Max)
Facilitates Maintenance Team to troubleshoot, repair machines using hand, power and/or machining tools as well as installation of new machines/dismantle unused machines.
Schedules people, machines, materials, and support services to achieve maximum team efficiency in meeting production requirements.
Ensures the maintenance team is trained to guarantee proper skill sets are developed and improved on daily.
Completes performance evaluations and counseling session in a timely and constructive manner.
Responsible for the safety, morale and development of direct reports. Facilitates team meetings; translates Company objectives in EHS, 5-S, quality and production into action plans. Interprets Company policies to the maintenance team, enforces safety regulations and follows up on off shifts as needed.
Collaborates with Engineering, Tooling, Quality, Materials, etc. to identify and implement machine/process improvements for cycle time, changeover time, up-time, ergonomics, employee safety, scrap, cost reduction.
Ordering supplies and spare parts. Maintains an adequate inventory of spare parts that are not readily accessible on a daily basis.
Act as a role model for the organizational Core Values and organizational expectations for Ethics.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for effectively lead a team of Maintenance Department Employees which includes: Controls, Team Leaders, Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Apprentices, and contractors, etc. by providing work direction, goals/objectives, coaching, development, regular performance feedback, communication, recognition and sustaining and environment that engages and retains talent.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BS) from a four-year college or university; or five years related leadership experience and/or training;


Must be able to read machine diagrams and prints.
Understand/navigate and add to PLEX system
Experience with automated controls, PLCs, CNCs, HVAC, etc.
Must be familiar with manufacturing equipment and have experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic issues and performing or coordinating repairs.
Prior experience in manufacturing work environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
Journeyman-level certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Tooling or other specialized knowledge highly desired but not required.
Experience with TS and ISO standards and audit processes

Skills and Abilities

Supervisory and Management Knowledge
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to basic inquiries or complaints from or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, plant, personnel, regulatory agencies, and public groups.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Industrial Maintenance/Electrical Certification preferred

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
