Verification Team Lead - Germering


Job Description

  • Lead part of the Verification team in terms of staffing to support device/silicon evaluation and to meet design time scales as set by program schedule.
  • Support the Verification Group Manager for the planning and execution of projects and resource allocation.
  • Ensure regular contact and communication with relevant teams/people to support your objectives.
  • Interpreting Requirements Specifications in collaboration with the Digital Lead designers to develop Verification Environments and Verification Plans that successfully stress the design.
  • Digital design verification and technical leadership of integrated circuit development projects when appropriate.
  • Ensure best practices are followed within the verification team.
  • Represent the team towards the corporate engineering group.
  • Mentor direct reports and review technical performance regularly.
  • Ensure the entire team follows procedures and design practices that are required by internal guidelines as well as expected from any state-of-the-art technology leader in the industry.
  • Support improvements of verification strategies and ensure implementation.
  • The main interface to corporate engineering for own team.
  • Support appraisals for direct reports as agreed with the Group Manager.
  • Support interview process for team members.
  • Manage digital simulation and verification planning and implementation.
  • Consulted as part of the weekly resource planning meeting, but the ultimate decision will always rest with the Group Manager

Qualifications

  • Typically 10 to 15 years of electronics experience in one of the following areas: wireless handheld, specifically audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronics.
  • Knowledge of metric-driven verification environments.
  • Knowledge of constrained random techniques.
  • Familiarity with Formal verification techniques
  • Familiarity with UVM
  • Degree level qualification in Electronics engineering or a related discipline typically required.

Desirable .

  • Experience of low power digital design techniques.
  • Understanding of analog/digital IC design.
  • Willingness to travel
