DEA is hiring an Environmental Permitting Planner specializing in renewable
energy projects. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with
environmental regulations and obtaining necessary permits for the development
and operation of renewable energy initiatives in Colorado. The position will
sit in our transportation business unit and work on transportation NEPA
documentation, but the primary focus will be to coordinate permitting work
with our geomatics and energy business units and their clients.You will
collaborate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to
lead the permitting process and support the successful implementation of
renewable energy and transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about federal, state, and local environmental regulations
related to renewable energy projects in Colorado and neighboring states.
Interpret and apply regulatory requirements to renewable energy and
transportation project activities.
Permitting Process:
Develop and implement permitting strategies for renewable energy projects.
Prepare and submit permit applications to regulatory agencies.
Coordinate with agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate the
permitting process for renewable energy and transportation projects.
Environmental Documentation:
Conduct environmental impact assessments to identify potential project
impacts.
Propose mitigation measures to minimize environmental effects.
