DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Summary:
The Health Equity Program Analyst’s primary responsibility is to evaluate the impact of programs targeting reductions in health disparities.

The successful applicant will have a track record of developing program evaluation plans, and drafting reports evaluating the impact of programs and contribution to progress on overall goals, identifying barriers to objectives, and providing evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain program documents and reports to evaluate the impact of condition-specific health outcomes, in compliance with Plan accreditation standards and departmental objectives.
* Collaborate with vendors providing targeted services and internal business partners to ascertain data, ensure appropriate analysis and interpretation, and set and evaluate appropriate goals for programs
* Collect and analyze data using research methods that include quantitative and qualitative analysis, and literature review.
* Independently, and in collaboration with IX analysts, plan and design evaluations of discrete projects/interventions and programs to support health equity goals and compliance. Create specifications and work in partnership with data managers to communicate data needs and document analytic designs.
* Assist with data validation to maintain the integrity of data.
* Support comprehensive, meaningful program analyses for key health equity domains by synthesizing analyses of program components, engagement, utilization, and outcomes across multiple interventions.
* Identify barriers to health equity goals and assess the viability of potential interventions to address those barriers.
* Create presentations for leadership, quality committees, the boards of directors, key business partners, and external organizations on health equity program outcomes
* Conceptualize, design, and develop detailed specifications for business intelligence and ad-hoc clinical reports
* Develop and present progress reporting to workgroups and oversight committees 

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
* At least 3 years of demonstrated experience with research and/or evaluation
* Demonstrated proficiency with quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including basic data quality and statistical skills
* Demonstrated success synthesizing and distilling complex information from multiple sources into communications suitable for a range of audiences

Knowledge & Skills
* Ability to interpret accreditation and regulatory requirements to translate requirements into functional specifications for relevant reporting.
* Comfort with quantitative and qualitative data sourcing and collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis
* Strong understanding of the root causes of inequities and the social determinants of health, local communities’ resources and needs, barriers to health care access for a culturally diverse, multi-lingual population.
* A thorough understanding, sensitivity, and appreciation for equity, cultural humility, and inclusiveness.
* Basic knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and understanding of the role of private payers in the healthcare ecosystem
* Other relevant experience may include personal, family, or other lived experience dealing with inequitable economic, social, health and educational systems and environments.
* Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to fluently communicate with and translate requirements between data managers and program managers
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Advanced MS Excel (functions, pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Care Administration, MBA, or related field preferred
* Demonstrated familiarity with health disparities and clinical care quality measures
* Demonstrated ability to leverage analytic and healthcare knowledge to provide recommendations
* Basic knowledge of healthcare delivery systems strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience with program evaluation, analyzing data, developing reports, and project management.

Hybrid
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
