SUMMARY: Close residential mortgage loans insuring the loan complies with Farmers National Bank's lending policy, secondary investor guidelines, and Federal and State Lending Regulations. Prepare closing documents in a timely manner, and communicate promptly with title companies, loan originators, and other parties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
Review closing conditions, and coordinate closing with loan originator and the assigned title company
Verify employment and obtain proof of hazard insurance
Prepare Initial CD within applicable time frames and provide to title company for balancing
Verify accuracy and tolerance levels.
Prepare loan closing package with complete instructions to title company, ensuring all at-close conditions are included.
Utilize and review third party software, such as Mavent to document loan compliance.
Prepare General Ledger Entries and balance the wire.
Retrieve and assign signed closing documents in the loan system prior to funding approval to the title company
Accountable for adhering to proper "key" controls developed within departmental processes or has notified the Processing and Closing Manager in writing of any exceptions.
Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate laws and regulations
Accept other responsibilities and projects as requested by management to add value for Farmers National Bank.
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma (or GED) required
Bachelor's degree in a Business related field or minimum of one (1) year of mortgage closing experience preferred
Minimum competencies required: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Communication Skills (Interpersonal, Verbal, Written, Presentations), Organization, Teamwork, Problem Solving, and Consultative Sales
Knowledge of mortgage lending functions and title closing required
Ability to effectively use computer software and systems
Knowledge of banking mortgage regulations required including disclosure requirements
