We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Solution Design & Procurement Senior Manager to join our dynamic 3PL organization. This role is pivotal in driving business growth by developing competitive transportation solutions and managing the procurement process.
Your Role
You will be responsible for engineering innovative solutions, sourcing and tendering, and securing the right partners to win transportation contracts from brand owners and manufacturing organizations. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of professional transportation solution design and procurement managers to achieve the department’s goals. Your expertise and leadership will ensure our transportation services are both highly competitive and of the finest quality.Your Responsibilities
- Develop Transportation Strategies: Create and implement transportation strategies that drive business growth and align with company objectives.
- Innovative Solution Engineering: Design and implement innovative transportation solutions, including route optimization, carrier selection, and technology integration.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the sourcing, tendering, and procurement of transportation services, ensuring the selection of the right partners.
- Team Leadership: Guide and develop a team of transportation solution design and procurement managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Strategic Carrier Management: Manage relationships with carriers, ensuring strategic alignment and performance excellence. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor carrier performance and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Business Verticals, Transportation Operations, IS TMS and Project Management, to ensure seamless integration of transportation solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and leverage insights to improve transportation strategies.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transportation management, solution design, and procurement.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful transportation strategies and solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing carrier relationships and contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
