Final QC Microbiology Lab Tech

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Normal working hours for this role are 6:00am - 4:30pm Wednesday - Saturday.
Using good aseptic lab practices, is responsible for supporting performance testing and physical inspections of finished good lots as well as internal use only lots through set up of VITEK2 cards, to completion. This position performs environmental testing and ensures proper documentation according to cGMP’s and current procedures, to completion. Performs all duties using safety conscious practices. Technician will uphold the lab attendance policy.
- Performance testing to completion and complies our lab procedure and schedule.
- Perform physical inspections of finished goods, to completion, per procedure and schedule.
- Retrieve cages from Card Production cooler, for lot sampling. Record the lots into Vitek 2 Code Book and store them in an organized manner, by lot, in the QC cooler.
- Manage Reserve Samples
- Perform applicable lab cleaning and maintenance.
- Inventory management
- Support Final QC and other projects as requested by management
- Environmental Monitoring
Education, Skills, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience required. Experience and training in a laboratory preferred.
- Associate degree with 4+ years of lab or manufacturing experience also accepted.
- High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of lab or manufacturing experience also accepted.
- Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
