Responsibilities:
Installation:
- Performing a Laboratory Check (presence of local services and resources, accessibility etc.) in accordance with protocol
- Installing with a team of Field Service Engineers / Customer Care Engineers, Lab Automation Equipment systems conform a Startup Protocol
- Executing Input / output tests and checking the installed system in accordance to a Mechatronic Check List (MCL)
- Commissioning of systems in accordance with Standard Operations Procedure
- Conducting troubleshooting and fine tuning task after the installation of the equipment test.
- Providing technical (basic) training to Front Line Engineers
- Supporting occasionally colleagues internationally (USA, Canada, Asia, etc.) during the installation of systems
- Functional and technical controlling/directing colleagues (Field Service Engineers / Customer Care Engineers) during the installation of the project and maintain communication with the Lab Manager or the responsible person in the Lab
Preventive maintenance:
- Performing periodic maintenance to (complex) systems on location in accordance with the maintenance protocol(s)
- assessing, replacing and adjusting components / parts
- Applying the information from the Management Information System data for the purpose of the preventive maintenance
- Checking the Service Management System (serviceMAx) for any outstanding Cases / and to study the fault history
- Functional and technical controlling/directing colleagues (Field Service Engineers / Customer Care Engineers) during the preventive maintenance of the lab automation equipment and maintain communication with the Lab Manager or the responsible person in the Lab
Corrective maintenance:
- Performing Corrective maintenance to (complex) systems according to agreed service level agreements
- Capturing the work undertaken, in a Work Order once the Corrective maintenance has been completed and discuss this with the Lab Manager or responsible person in the Lab
- Closing the Work Order within the agreed time, as described in the Service Protocols
General:
- Complying with current regulations regarding quality / ISO, safety and environment
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
· Time management , effectively planning of work with limited resources
- Knowledge of Lab Automation products and services is a pre
- Knowledge of the Microbiology laboratories processes and techniques is a pre
· Strong communication & motivation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Willing to share your experience and knowledge with others within and outside your department/region
- Must have good Teaching skills
· Excellent social skills working with others in one team
· Pragmatic, solution-orientated and stress-resistant
· Experienced servicing on complex instrumentation
· High knowledge level in computers, networks, electronics, fine mechanics and automation
· Able to establish personal and trustful relationships with our customers by personal engagement and professional competence
· Highly self-responsible and able to use appropriate techniques and material to efficiently organize your work
· Accept responsibility for international customers within Europe / EMA
- Comfortable working in a cross functional dynamic team environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience:
· MBO+ or Bachelor degree/level (electrical / electronics) either received by education or experience
· At least 5 years work experience in a medical environment, automation industries or equivalent, preferable in lab automation
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Able to work with computer systems, PLC’s and databases
Other:
· Frequently travel within Europe (>70%).
- Able to handle irregular working hours.
· Fluently English and preferable another European language.
· European driving license class B.
· Knowledge in microbiology techniques preferred.
