Job DescriptionThe Global Capex Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving consistency and rigor to all areas of the finance function reporting to the Global Finance Lead on the client account. This role will be responsible for overseeing a Regional team in addition to the Global responsibilities. The candidate will collaborate with Regional Finance Managers and their teams in accruals month-end reporting, capex budgeting and forecasting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for the Client.
The Global Capex Manager will also support Design & Construction (D&C) leadership to consolidate and report financial results, own and drive standardization of D&C Capex financial processes and controls regional and globally. The candidate will be responsible for implementing governance programs that ensures regional delivery teams are providing timely and accurate project financial updates to meet and exceed the client's monthly and quarterly financial targets.
The candidate will need to be able to successfully navigate across the client organization, stakeholders and senior leadership to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to attain high level understanding of client's global portfolio strategy and capital plan objectives
Own and drive standardisation of D&C Capex finance processes & controls globally and regionally, including Global KPI Core-9 compliance process on behalf of the account finance team across all regions.
Implementation of a global processes, standard template and guidelines for monthly, quarterly and semi-annual submissions to improve accurate budget forecasting.
Financial Oversight:
Conduct financial analyses, including monthly Capex variance, to evaluate the accuracy of the financial forecast.
Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Oversee capital project accounting team for a prominent global client, ensuring compliance with client priorities, JLL's contractual agreements, GAAP and other applicable policies, regulations and guidelines
Responsible for actively supporting broad range of financial planning, process engineering and analytical initiatives including capital planning cycles, trend and value analyses and metrics reporting
Manage comprehensive iterative process with strong controls for capital program, including spend forecasts and variance tracking; ensure accuracy and consistency between annual, quarterly and monthly capex reporting processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Participate in cross-functional management meetings to ensure Capex performance targets and priorities are in alignment with other teams' goals and objectives
Facilitate/chair key meetings with the clients' financial teams and D&C global and regional managers.
Resolve interdepartmental conflicts and facilitate cooperation to achieve project goals.
Quality Assurance:
Implement financial quality control measures within the project lifecycle delivery process that will ensure adherence to key financial reporting guidelines and timelines.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify control measures are appropriate and effective.
Process Management and Reporting:
Develop and maintain regional and globally consistent Capex processes; collaborate with D&C PMO, regional finance and delivery leads on process reviews and end user training programs.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Capex performance reports and present updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Support regional finance and D&C teams to ensure all Global Finance KPI Core-9 reporting timelines are met, including relevant documentation by setting in place process, guidance, training and management routines.
Develop and refine project data reporting and analytics to support forecasting and cost/value management objectives
Experience
Minimum 7 years previous working experience in a similar position (regional / global).
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in a finance discipline or equivalent.
Experience of finance in a construction / program (project) management is desired.
Skills
Advanced Microsoft Office / Excel skills including pivot tables essential.
IT skills in Business information tools an advantage (Power Pivot/Database Mgt.)
Working knowledge of financial management systems such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion Planning, JDE E1 Financials
Excellent problem solving and ability to manage multiple work assignments simultaneously, manage multiple or conflicting priorities, and handle a high-pressure working environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain issues and present complex information clearly, concisely and consistently.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal English language skills.
