Hardware Engineer Responsibilities
  • Design, simulate, prototype, and test electrical systems in simulated reality systems which combine electronics, mechanics, biosensors and software.
  • Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines, building schematics, completing board layouts, assembling, testing, debugging, and integrating designs into biosensing-systems.
  • Specify components and transform vendor reference designs into custom solutions.
  • Ensure that the prototypes designed have line of sight into mass production and closely partner with the Product Engineering team to ensure the designs can be transitioned into product development.
  • Work closely with various core technology teams and other organizations to define prototyping scope and applications towards various technology roadmaps and products.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and one year of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires one year of experience in the following:
  • Schematic and board design using Cadence OrCad, or Altium
  • Oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, and function generators
  • Leading technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against project plans
  • System bring-up in the lab and subsystem verification
  • Partnering with software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers, and algorithms
  • Low-power circuit design, DC/DC converters, and power management methods

$221,761/year to $231,110/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
