Position: Staff Accountant
Location: 10605 SW Allen Blvd, Beaverton, OR, 97005
Duration: 6 months + possible extension
1st shift: 8 AM to 5 PM; Mon-Fri
Job Description:
' Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day operational accounting duties, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Responsibilities:
' Prepare month-end journal entries timely and accurately
' Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports
' Collaborate with key business partners to research and resolve issues
' Identify opportunities and implement solutions for process improvements
' Document key process and procedures
' Effectively and professionally interact with all functions within the company
' Assist in internal and external audits
' Ad-hoc projects or other duties as assigned
Requirements:
' Bachelor's degree in Accounting
' 2-3 years' GL accounting experience in a similar position
' Strong technical knowledge of accounting rules and practices
' Strong Excel Skills including proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, and ability to manipulate data
' Strong attention to detail and ability to trace general ledger entries back to sub ledger systems
' Ability to research variances independently and effectively explain findings
' Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
' Ability to work overtime during month end close and year end
' Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, works well with people from different background and with different styles
Preferred:
' Distribution Company experience
' AS400 or Mincron ERP experience
