FT, Nurse Supervisor RN, Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA Job Description: (Required) A brief, but detailed description will result in better qualified referrals. (Attach company job description if available) Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and administering the daily activities of nursing care services for an assigned area and assuring proper staff coverage. Essential Job Duties: - Directs and supervises the nursing and patient care services in assigned area(s) - Facilitates development of the nursing services mission, goals, policies, procedures, budgets, and work standards - Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing services - Assures standards of nursing practice, policies and procedures are compliant with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and all applicable regulatory agencies - Prepares and administers nursing area operating and capital budgets - Compiles and analyzes data, prepares and presents statistical information on department performance, productivity, activity, performance improvement, and budget administration - Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field of nursing and clinical practice - Schedules, assigns, and monitors staff activities - Develops, implements, monitors, and reports Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance activities - Oversees patient needs and suggestions and resolves patient care problems - Participates in the hiring, promoting, disciplining, and terminating of personnel - Interacts with Human Resources in resolving complex employee relation problems. Attends labor management meetings as requested - Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education to staff - Evaluates the performance and competency of employees by monitoring individual work performance - Maintains properly operating medical equipment and supplies - Monitors and reports operating activity of the department such as workload, staff productivity, census data, revenue, and expenses within the core values of the hospital - Participates in monthly Nurse Leadership meetings - Conducts monthly staff conferences on all shifts - Conducts special projects and studies as directed Work/Education requirements: Minimum 2 years of CCU experience, and minimum 5 years overall nursing experience Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required Must be currently licensed as a RN in Pennsylvania Must complete RQI quarterly with the equivalent of BLS, ACLS, MANDT, and PALS NIH Stoke Scale Certification within 3 months of hire Benefits: Sign-on Bonus 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee discount Free parking Health insurance Life insurance Loan forgiveness Paid sick time Paid time off Referral program Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance $32.00-$38.00/hour Medical Specialties: Critical & Intensive Care Emergency Medicine Medical-Surgical License/Certification: PALS, ACLS, BLS, and MANDT certification RN License Schedule: Evening shift Night shift Overnight shift Subject to drug screening, medical exam, reference check and criminal background check To apply: by email: tsnavley@wgh.org online: www.wgh.org/job-opportunities by fax: 814-723-6095 by mail or in person: Warren General Hospital, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365
