Job Description:
Polar Semiconductor LLC is Minnesota's largest semiconductor foundry, located in Bloomington, MN, just a few blocks from the Mall of America. Polar has over 60 years of integrated circuit and power semiconductor experience. We are a highly specialized pure-play foundry capable of complex, custom orders. Our flexibility and tailored support allow us to collaboratively partner with customers of all sizes, capabilities, and capacities to produce the next wave of industry-disrupting technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assistance maintaining IT Inventory
* Develop knowledge of IT equipment
* Delivery and set-up of equipment on site
* Support the roll-out of Microsoft SharePoint
* Provide basic PC/Network support in Corporate and Manufacturing Environment
* Assist with software deployment
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and INTERESTS:
* Adapts to changing priorities and manages deadlines
* Attention to detail and organization
* Ability to document processes and explain to others
* Willing to work in both an office environment and a cleanroom environment
* Willingness to learn and share knowledge with the rest of the team
* Basic computer and networking skills
* Ability to trouble shoot computer/software/network issues
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be pursuing or just completed degree in a computer- focused track
* Clear and concise communication skills

Schedule: 1st shift (M-F, 9-5); up to 40 hours a week on-site; start as early as May but not later than early June, runs 3 months (or more).
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Junior or senior majoring in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
C# and VB.NET, required
Data base experience, beneficial
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work independently primary; team skills, secondary
Background check and drug screening required
The Summer Intern hourly range for this role is $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
