Overview
General Function:
Responsible for the management of the various purchasing, planning, inventory, warehouse, and order fulfillment functions across all plants. Key objectives include Demand Planning; Materials Planning; Capacity Planning and the Master Scheduling Process; integrate various planning and ERP systems; provide master data; Ensure effective material control and continuous improvement in plant performance while meeting the objectives and needs of customers and shareholders.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversees the Master Scheduling Plan for MEC plants and supports progress of production orders
Responsible for ensuring the correct plant raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory levels are consistent with business requirements and working capital targets.
Work closely with each plants Logistics operations (Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse) making sure all shipments are managed effectively using MEC controls and polices in accordance with customer expectations and all receipts comply with DMP financial standards and polices.
Monitor and support customer service roles for all domestic/international orders shipping to affiliate locations and third-party customers. Ensuring order accuracy, forecasting and shipping targets (DIFOT).
Responsible for inventory control, inventory levels, and execution of cycle counting, monthly and annual inventory.
Oversee capacity planning while utilizing appropriate tools and analysis to ensure smooth production output for plant resources.
Directs Supply Chain Planners to ensure all required raw materials are available to meet production requirements and all quality standards.
Support established logistics policy & agreements, including mode, carrier and logistics supplier agreements that benefit the overall business.
Proactively and effectively participate in the continuous improvement process both individually and as an assigned member of cross-functional teams.
Supports in SIOP collaboration, developing the strategic plans to support 3-12 month Supply and Manufacturing plan
Drive Expectations and accountability to Divisional SPARC and KPI Metrics outlined by Director of Materials and Division VP
Qualifications

BA/BS, Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Planning or equivalent, MBA is a plus
Certification in Production and Inventory Management required "CPIM" (APICS)
Three to five year experience in Demand Planning and Master Scheduling process with proven hands on experience in managing inventory polices, inventory planning, information and processes used in planning/scheduling, metrics/data analysis, ERP outputs and managing projects, detail capacity planning, detailed capacity management, and excess inventory management
Lead and support the SIOP process with suppliers, sales, purchasing, finance and operation functions
Results oriented leadership style with a focus on execution
Competent with computer software to establish business processes in maintaining demand & supply planning systems
Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and MS Access skills required
Ability to supervise and lead employee teams to ensure high levels of performance in a team environment working through a matrix management structure
Strong experience with ERP systems and planning tools
Results driven with effective written and oral communication skills at all levels and interacts with internal & external business partners at all levels.
Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and ability to handle pressure in a positive manner
Prior experience with Kanban and other lean manufacturing scheduling processes required.
Operates with high integrity; builds trust, quickly wins and sustains credibility in relationship with others.
