JOB VACANCY: Public Health Sanitarian / Contingent Permanent/Temporary / Full-Time / Benefited LOCATION: GH Office Bldg SALARY: $33.34 / hour (Grade 15) FILL DATE: April 9, 2024 DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: A sanitarian under supervision performs professional activities which may include the investigation and inspection of environmental health control. He investigates nuisance conditions, interprets laboratory reports, provides training, assistance and supervision of subordinate personnel, prepares reports and recommendations and testifies at enforcement proceedings. Does related work as required. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Good knowledge of environmental health practices; ability to supervise the work of others; ability to prepare and deliver effective talks and secure the interest and cooperation of civic groups and officials; ability to train others in environmental health work; ability to develop good public relations; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
