JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY The Customer Application Engineer is
responsible for sales support through the input of quotations and
invoicing. This role will work collaboratively in an environment to
support the Customer Segment Leader, Field Service Manager, and other
Commercial Operations. This role will support bid development, Customer
Application Engineer sale strategies and meet customer commitments. This
role will provide daily sales support to Field Service and Sales for
identified accounts. This role will support Field Operations and
Commercial Manager in key account strategic action fulfillment including
contract initiatives, proposal development, submittals and execution.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Generate quotations and book
orders to support the sales and OP objectives linked to Key Accounts.
Obtain supporting pricing and cost elements required to fulfill bid
requirements. Maintain active directory of sub suppliers for bid support
elements relative to Key Account geographies. Maintain integrity of
order bookings relative to Key Accounts with proper documentation,
contract references/releases. Provide product specifications, technical
support/troubleshooting and price quotations in timely fashion to Key
Account customers. Sales follow-up on previously submitted sales
quotations and requests from key account(s). Sales follow-up on
completed service activities and recommended future actions. Daily
status updates of assigned orders in conjunction with operations teams.
Provide timely communication and feedback to applicable BDM/FSM
regarding technical, commercial, or schedule issues Support Business
Development Manager in developing and executing key account strategies.
Generate Key Account analytical reports for staff and to support key
account meetings. Interface with other departments and stakeholders
within Service, Components, Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc., outside sales
representatives regarding day to day sales items. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &
ABILITIES Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent
organizational skills with a strong focus on attention to detail. Must
be a team player with a positive attitude and willing to support other
areas of the business. Strong interpersonal skills are required to
achieve cooperation, negotiate and reach agreement with customers,
suppliers, and internal employees. Strong business acumen with ability
to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently in order to cost
