UW Medicine Revenue Integrity has an outstanding opportunity for a TEMPORARY REVENUE INTEGRITY ANALYST

Work Schedule
  • 100% FTE – POSITION IS EXPECTED TO LAST APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS
  • 100% Remote

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Primary responsibility for the on-going accuracy and integrity of charges
  • Knowledge and application of applicable laws and regulations
  • Responsible for working with a diverse group of people from All UW Medicine entities to identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities
  • Understanding of Clinic/Department Revenue Cycle Operational processes, and an understanding of Epic applications, data/business intelligence tools and utilization

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review, Remediation, and Educate on Charge Capture / Reimbursement
  • Epic Issue Resolution/Reporting
  • Assume Accountability and Monitor Key Metrics (Annual Charge Utilization, Monthly Revenue, Denials, Late/Missing Charges, administrative write-offs, and utilization by book of business
  • Identify charge capture/reimbursement issues and resolutions using available mechanisms [Epic BOE
  • SSRS reports, Revenue Guardian, etc.]
  • Special Projects / Process Improvement Initiatives

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of Epic experience and experience providing training to clinical operations
  • Experience with ICD 10/HCPCS/CPT codes
  • Coding credentials CCS, COC, RHIT, RHIA or ability to obtain coding credentials within the 12 months of hire
  • Understanding of hospital billing or reimbursement and charge capture operations
  • Understanding of CMS regulations and ability to interpret healthcare guidelines and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid
  • Equivalent education and experience may be substituted for requirements
