Job Summary
The Research Associate position will provide support to the study investigators and research staff located in the Department of Community Health & Prevention in the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Research Associate will be primarily responsible for completing data collection for an overdose prevention study. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and an overtly personable individual able to conduct interviews and related responsibilities for the UnityPhilly overdose prevention study (funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse).
Essential Functions
Serve as primary interviewer for overdose prevention study.
Engage community members in neighborhoods across Philadelphia.
Conduct research interviews (quantitative and qualitative).
Onboard and train students involved in the project as backup interviewers as needed.
Develop thorough understanding of various data collection and tracking documents in order to conduct audits and assure data validity.
Distribute and track completion of follow-up surveys for enrolled participants.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in public health or a related field or
2 years of relevant/related experience is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Stong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative interviewing approaches are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in Microsoft Office and REDCap/Qualtrics is highly recommended.

Additional Information
This position is classified as exempt grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from a minimum of $41,120.00 to a maximum of $61,680.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
