Buffalo. AP Professionals. Staff Accountant. $70,000/year. Well established local company is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The position requires a dynamic personality with strong communication skills, confidentiality, accounting acumen and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities: * Manage accounts payable and receivable function * Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports * Reconcile bank account balances and maintain accurate record of balances * Provide information and assistance to offsite Accountants as needed * Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures * Manage banking relationships * Respond to client questions regarding invoices, payments, etc. * Correspond with past due accounts to collect payments * Gather credit information to facilitate new account review and approval by management Qualifications: * Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred * BS in Accounting preferred * Three to five years of full charge accounting experience * Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail * Proficient with MS Office including Word.
