Job Description

 
Barn Maintenance positions support our farm by monitoring, enhancing, fixing, and replacing all things that are electrical and mechanical. This position uses functional knowledge of operational principles for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices. Responsibilities and duties -Maintain and repair industrial and automated equipment in chicken barns such as egg conveyer belts, egg collection system, manure belts, feed and water lines. -Perform and document preventative maintenance on this equipment -Identify parts and supplies needed -Perform other duties as required Qualifications and Skills Experience in repairing equipment and facilities is required, having strength in a specific area of skill is a plus. This position performs work both inside the barns and outside on farm grounds. Helpful skills include: welding, fabrication, pneumatics, power transmission drives and an electrical background. Applicant should be quality minded and detail oriented. Person should be reliable and safety conscious and have the ability to work in a team. Driver's license preferred.
