Job Summary
The Education Intern will be mentored by PBS educators to gain practical, hands-on experience in education and non-profit collaboration to support parents, educators, and children.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and execute PBS Utah and PBS KIDS Utah educational programs, annual initiatives, and events, in collaboration with PBS Utah’s Education Program Manager and Education Coordinator.
  • Assist with the PBS KIDS Utah blog, newsletter, Reading Marathon, Writers & Illustrators Contest, in-person and virtual events, educator trainings statewide, PBS LearningMedia, Reading Marathon Kickoff Party and rural Mini-Grant program, book distribution, and grant specific curriculum and programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a University of Utah student. Students can be from any major.

Our ideal candidate is an ambitious, inclusive undergraduate student with the ability to build trusted relationships with their team and in the community we serve. The candidate should have a commitment to the core values of PBS Utah and have the ability to be mindful of the diverse voices and lived experiences in our community that broaden perceptions and find common ground. The ability to write and speak fluently in a second language is a plus.

Interest and experience in education and children’s events and activities with a focus on PreK-3rd grade. Self-starter. Organizational skills. Writing and editing skills. Computer/database skills and knowledge.
