We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Fife, Washington. This role will involve managing payroll for both union and non-union employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for approximately 1,000 employees, including both union and non-union workers, across multiple states.
• Ensure all payroll operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Use payroll systems such as Great Plains and ThinkHR to manage payroll data and reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a seamless hybrid work environment.
• Administer benefit programs including 401k plans and ensure accurate deductions.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify potential errors.
• Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Provide support for internal and external payroll audits.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
The salary range for this position is $32/hr to $36/hr. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 3% match and 15 days of paid vacation and sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year.
• Proven experience handling union and non-union payroll processes.
• Expertise in managing multi-state payroll for a workforce of similar size.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Great Plains and ThinkHR.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
• Knowledge of 401k administration and other benefit programs.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Experience conducting payroll audits and resolving discrepancies.
