Position at Lifespark

Whitefish at the Lakes,a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for aCook/Chefto join our growing team!
Whitefish at the Lakes is nestled in the quiet woods of beautiful Northern Minnesota. Our community is in Crosslake, MN where it is cozy and comfortable. It is an 86 total unit facility between independent living, assistant living and memory care units. Come help our residents AGE MAGNIFICANTLY!

Located at:35625 Ostlund Ave,Crosslake, MN 56442
Shifts Available: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 7am-3pm and Sunday 11am-7pm
Cook/Chef Wage: $17.50 - 22.50 - Wage is based on experience

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.Duties include:


Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.

Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.

Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.

Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.

Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:


High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.

Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
