JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction of the Member Services & Marketing
Director, marketing and graphic design for various departments. Duties
include special event planning, advertising, graphic design. This
position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, the
ability to perform work with limited supervision, and high levels of
accuracy. QUALIFICATIONS The listed qualifications are representative of
the attributes necessary for successful performance of the position.
Substitutions of comparable training or abilities, as well as reasonable
accommodations for persons with disabilities, will be taken into
consideration. Skills: Full operational understanding of Microsoft
Office products is required. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative
Suite, Canva, and Drupal is preferred. Must possess solid knowledge of
social media platforms. Must be able to operate office equipment, write
reports, business correspondence and marketing materials. Competencies:
Must be able to understand general and business communications,
effectively present information and respond to inquiries at an
individual or group level. Must be dependable and exhibit the Y core
values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Certifications:
Associate or Bachelor degree in marketing, public relations,
communications or related field preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid
certification required within 60 days of hire. SCHEDULE Monday Friday,
20-29 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend hours as
needed for special events. WAGE \$12.45 - \$15.50 per hour, depending on
experience and qualifications. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to effectively
communicate and actively interact with employees. Must be able to lift
and carry supplies up to 25 pounds. Must be able to operate office
equipment. Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Full operational
understanding of Microsoft Office products. Ability to use Adobe Acrobat
and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Knowledge of Canva and Drupal
helpful, but not required. Must possess solid knowledge of social media
platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube). Ability to work
independently and think creatively. Must have strong and proficient oral
communication and writing skills. Maintain confidentiality requirements
of the department. Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multi-task in
a fast-paced environment. Understand general and business
communications. Write reports, business correspondence, and marketing
materials. Effectively present information and respond to inquiries at
an individual or group level. Communicate effectively with media, staff,
Y members, volunteers and general public. Determine and monitor
program/event budgets. Solve practical problems while considering
various impacting factors. Accomplish tasks using creativity and
analysis of details. Interpret instructions in a variety of written or
oral formats. Organize, prioritize and manage tasks without direct
supervision. Work independently, yet cooperatively, balancing department
